Samsung is going to be delivering sweet high resolution goodness to all smart phone users this year with their triple threat of super AMOLED devices; the Wave, the Galaxy S and a yet to be named Windows Phone 7 series mobile device.

The Wave was shown off at the Mobile World Congress last February where it got plenty of attention for its stunningly amazing visual screen quality and the use of the Bada operating system.

Bada is Samsung’s new proprietary OS and it is an open source platform with plenty of app support from developers. As stated above, Samsung has confirmed that it is indeed working on a new device for the Windows Phone 7 series and it will be using the super AMOLED screen as well.

Now, the latest device to the list is the Galaxy S. This touch screen smart phone will also be equipped with the new display screen and other impressive features.

First off, the 4 inch super AMOLED touch screen display is currently the largest available –trumping the original 3.3 inch WVGA screen on the Wave. Expect to see accelerometer support and a proximity sensor on the device as well. The phone will be running on a 1GHz CPU though the chip manufacturer has not been named, at least we know that the phone will be running apps without any slowdowns.

A 5 mega pixel snapper has also been loaded on the phone. No word yet on what video capabilities will be available, but expect the lowest resolution to be QVGA at 30 FPS, some are even suggesting that the device might be able to handle 720p, but we will wait for further confirmation before jumping the gun.
