Galaxy S Pro Appears in Rumors

With all the impressive Android smart phones being released, no new device delivers the one big bonus that we saw on the Motorola Milestone: a slide out, physical QWERTY keyboard. It has been confirmed that Sony Ericsson will be releasing an X10 Mini Pro, but that is a Mini device and not the full XPERIA X10 with a Snapdragon processor.

Now, rumors are stating that Samsung will be delivering its own “pro”; the Galaxy S Pro is said to have all the specifications of the Galaxy S. but with an additional QWERTY keyboard. If all this sounds too good to be true, it might be. So far, it is Sony Ericsson to establish the Pro nickname for editions that come with a physical keyboard. It is unlikely that Samsung would copy their rival’s naming conventions.

In any case, if the Galaxy S Pro does come true, then this smart phone will be combining many major elements together into a single smart phone. First off, the device will be running on a 1GHz Processor. Next, this phone comes with Samsung’s new super AMOLED touch screen technology. For those not familiar, the super AMOLED screen is far superior to any other touch screen display on other mobile phones. This device also has DivX certification (both the Galaxy S and the Wave are the first HD smart phones to have DivX).

The big clincher with the S Pro is the inclusion of the QWERTY keyboard. And combined with the above specifications, would certainly make this device the most sought after Android phone until they decide to come out with and Android running on a dual core processor.

For now, we will be waiting patiently for any news that will confirm this amazing little handset.
